Lawrenceville Independence Day Celebration
The Lawrenceville Independence Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 27, at Arsenal Park, at 11 a.m. The celebration is free and open to all!
The Lawrenceville Fireworks Committee and Lawrenceville United bring a day of family fun to the neighborhood leading up to Lawrenceville’s 71st Zambelli Fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
Races, softball games, and train rides will give the kids plenty of opportunity to work off their energy before the show! Some low-key activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, and balloon sculptures.
In addition, the Citiparks Art Cart will be at the event for kids to get creative with patriotic crafts while celebrating Independence Day.
Lunch will be available for cash-only purchase from two well-known Lawrenceville eateries. Save your appetite for pulled pork sandwiches and wings from Hambone’s Pub, and sausages, burgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs from Kelly’s Korner!
About Lawrenceville United
Lawrenceville United began in 2001 as a resident-driven, community-based nonprofit organization to improve the quality of life in Lawrenceville through engagement, advocacy, restoration, and community planning and development.
Lawrenceville United has made vast improvements in the community and taken on new initiatives that further the mission to directly address the high priority concerns and needs of residents and stakeholders.
Though Lawrenceville has seen great improvements over recent years thanks to Lawrenceville United and community leaders, the organization recognizes that there is still plenty of work to be done, and welcomes all volunteers.
