About Market Square Farmers Market
The Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership has organized a Farmers Market to take place in Market Square each Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., now through October 29.
The Market Square Farmers Market has returned for an 11th season to bring up to 30 vendors to Downtown Pittsburgh each week. It is the perfect opportunity for local farmers to showcase their best goods and for the community to experience “a unique and convenient shopping experience.”
Between seven and ten thousand people visit the Farmers Market every Thursday to browse a variety of goods such as:
- fresh fruits and vegetables,
- organic milk and cheese,
- breads and loaf cakes,
- fresh biscotti,
- fresh-cut flowers,
- live herb plants,
- and much more!
One of Pittsburgh’s local bands will provide a live acoustic performance each Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A list of upcoming performers can be found here, in case you want to plan your visit to Market Square accordingly.
