The Small Business Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh is hosting a two-part workshop for small business owners early this February. The workshops will take place at Pitt’s Mervis Hall. Attending is a great way to ensure you start your business off the right way.
The First Step – Mechanics of Starting a Small Business will take place on Friday, February 6, from 7:30-10:00 A.M. The workshop will help entrepreneurs understand effective marketing tools and business structures, provide additional resources for business owners, and learn what is needed to fully institute your business.
The Second Step – Developing a Business Plan will follow on Friday, February 20, from 7:30-10:00 A.M. Topics will include operational and production planning, learning how to conduct market research, and creating financial spreadsheets for your business.
The cost to attend both workshops is $25, due at the second part of the event.
A continental breakfast will be provided for participants at both programs.
